Critique of _____Dramatic Lighting____

 

Art Vocabulary and Craftsmanship	To catch this dramatic lighting I had to follow Baxter ( my puppy ) around for two hours hoping to catch something good. I didn’t really dodge or burn anything in this photo.

Conceptual Skill	The photo is of a puppy so of course the message would be a bit happy, just followed him around while he did his thing.
Critique	It’s a very good for dramatic lighting, overall the picture to me is a little bit too plain. There isn’t really much interesting other than what the dog is doing.

Art Vocabulary and Craftsmanship	The technique I applied was to get a virbant color with red. Yellow makes the red brighter and easier to stand out.
Elements  Color  Line  Shape  Texture  Form  Value  Space	Elements: The elements in this picture to me would be color, and space. The space is this picture is framed and perfect. The colors match each other and go perfectly with one another.   Principles: The main principles are variety, pattern, and proportion. The way these flowers sit just goes together.

Conceptual Skill	My intent was to get a good framed splash of red of the tulips. The mood would most likely be calm and relaxing.
Critique	Overall I believe the photoghraph is good, but it could be much better. I feel as if it's centered and I was going for the Rule of Thirds.
